What is your major and how did you choose it?

I am majoring in Biology with a specialization in Neurobiology. As a pre-medical student I was drawn to my biology major of because of its widespread application in the sciences including chemistry and physics and the wide breadth of courses within the major. I was excited to specialize in Neurobiology to explore the most fascinating parts of the brain with my electives to prepare for my future as a physician.

What is your favorite Biology course and why?

System Physiology (BI 315) with Dr. Muscedere has been my favorite biology class thus far. Dr. Muscedere was an amazing lecturer and the course content was fascinating. It was so cool to apply the concepts I learned in Cell Biology the semester prior to a systems level of understanding in the body.

What extracurricular activities have you been involved with?

Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED), Kidney Disease Screening Awareness Program (KDSAP), Nutrition Club, Healthcare Improvement, Inc, Women in Medicine.

I have aspirations to attend medical school and complete a surgical residency.
