Current Research:

Soil microbes like fungi and bacteria are responsible for the movement and transformations of nutrients necessary for life, like nitrogen and phosphorus, but are rarely used to explain rates of nutrient cycling. The goal of my research is to use soil fungal and bacterial characteristics to explain soil nutrient cycling using genomic techniques.
