Travel

You should make your own travel arrangements. We prefer that you arrive on Monday, March 4th and depart either the same day or on Tuesday, March 5th. Prospective Students Day events will begin at 10:00am on Monday, March 4th and conclude at 6:45pm. If you need to arrive early due to travel constraints, we can likely make arrangements for Sunday evening. There are two options for making travel arrangements:

Travel Option One: Reimbursement

We will reimburse your travel expenses shortly after your visit. If you plan to travel by air, please make reservations as soon as possible in order to secure a reasonable fare. Please contact Jen Correia at jencorr@bu.edu if you cannot find a fare of $600 or less; she will try to assist you with your reservation. Please remember to save all receipts for travel (including bus, taxi, gas mileage information, etc.). You will receive an email with a link to our electronic reimbursement form after Prospective Students Day events have concluded.

Travel Option Two: BU Pays

We can cover the cost of your travel using our Department credit card if you do not want to pay for your travel up front. Please research your method of transportation appropriately and determine what specific ticket(s) will need to be purchased (e.g. Delta Flight 12345 leaving O'hare at 5:00pm CT on March 3rd and arriving at Logan at 7:00pm EST on March 3rd). Contact Jen Correia of you cannot find a fare of $600 or less; she will try to assist you with your reservation. Once you have your travel picked out, determine what information will be needed to complete the purchase (e.g. Full legal name, birthdate, cell phone number, etc.). Detailed purchasing information should be included in this form. This should completed as soon as possible in order to secure a reasonable fare, and should include all ticket information, all personal information needed to make the purchase, and any helpful screenshots or direct links. Please provide a backup choice if you see that your chosen method of travel only has few tickets available. Jen Correia will make the purchase and will forward you any necessary information. Travel that cannot be purchased in advance will be reimbursed (e.g. car mileage, taxi fare, etc.). Please remember to save all receipts for travel (including bus, taxi, gas mileage information, etc.). You will receive an email with a link to our electronic reimbursement form after Prospective Students Day events have concluded.
