"Computational Approaches to Identifying Regulatory Sites in Genomic DNA"

This talk will focus on recent advances in the discovery of regulatory motifs. Combining phylogenetic information with co-regulation or localization information leads to more sensitive detection algorithms. In fact, sufficient phylogenetic information can be used without additional data sources to uncover most of the regulatory network, at least in yeast. Connecting regulatory sites to their transcription factors is another challenge that will also be addressed.
