International Research Partnerships and Opportunities

The Program co-organizes the annual International Workshop on Bioinformatics and Systems Biology (IBSB) in collaboration with groups from Germany and Japan.

The Workshops were established in 2001 by the BU Bioinformatics Program in collaboration with the Graduate Program in Bioinformatics and Modeling of Cell Processes at Humboldt-University Berlin. (Explore Humboldt on its website)

Rotating annually among the three countries, the workshops emphasize student participation through talks and posters.

In Germany, participants come from Humboldt, the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Dahlem, the Free University Berlin, and the Hahn-Meitner Institute. Japanese scientists are affiliated with Kyoto University and the University of Tokyo.
