bioInfo Beat is a weekly email newsletter which seeks to inform the BU Bioinformatics community about upcoming seminars and events. In addition to an extensive calendar of events, the newsletter features recent publications by affiliates of the program and provides a great medium for alumni to stay up to date on departmental happenings (and vice versa–current Bioinformatics students and Faculty are interested to know what is new with alumni, too.) Every newsletter also includes citations to and brief reviews of one or more “new and noteworthy” papers (and monographs). It thus serves as a current awareness tool for important new developments in the field. Here you can view a bibliography of previously selected works.
bioInfo Beat’s contributors Professor Scott Mohr (email) and Johanna Squillacioti (email) welcome submissions in the form of alumni updates, useful Bioinformatics website suggestions, and general comments and feedback, including reviews of significant new papers of broad interest to the bioinformatics community.
