A site based in the United Kingdom, Understanding Islam is meant to be an academic site, to discuss the meaning of the Qu'ran in a scholarly fashion. The site contains many different sections, ranging from recent articles to Q&A to a basic overview about Islam. A resource for followers and non-followers of Islam alike.

"Founded in 1994, the Baobab Project was established to make African visual culture available to a broader audience, as well as to create a research tool which can be used by scholars and students alike."
