Gregory
A. Plotnikoff |
Gregory A. Plotnikoff is the Medical Director
at the University of Minnesota Center for
Spirituality and Healing, and Course Co-Director
for "Cultures, Faith Traditions, and
Health Care." A pediatrician and internist,
he also received an M.T.S. from Harvard
Divinity School and has worked as a hospital
chaplain. His clinical experience includes
extensive work with immigrant families from
Somalia. His public presentations regularly
address topics such as the ethical challenges
of cross-cultural care, complementary care
as a cross-cultural experience, and cross-cultural
approaches to herbal practices. He has written
for both medical journals and the Harvard
Divinity Bulletin, addressing current issues
in medical training, distinctions between
medicine and healing, and end-of-life choices.
