Gregory A. Plotnikoff

Gregory A. Plotnikoff is the Medical Director at the University of Minnesota Center for Spirituality and Healing, and Course Co-Director for "Cultures, Faith Traditions, and Health Care." A pediatrician and internist, he also received an M.T.S. from Harvard Divinity School and has worked as a hospital chaplain. His clinical experience includes extensive work with immigrant families from Somalia. His public presentations regularly address topics such as the ethical challenges of cross-cultural care, complementary care as a cross-cultural experience, and cross-cultural approaches to herbal practices. He has written for both medical journals and the Harvard Divinity Bulletin, addressing current issues in medical training, distinctions between medicine and healing, and end-of-life choices.
