Breai Mason-Cambell

Breai earned a BA from Temple University in Geography and Urban Studies and Religion. Her experience as a dancer informs her studies of traditional African religions and cultures, particularly the use of dance as a method of healing. The focus of her fieldwork was on hip-hop culture as a factor in identity formation of young African/African-American women in the Boston area, their experience of spirituality, and their understanding of health and the measures taken by them to pursue optimal health. She has received her Masters in Divinity from Harvard Divinity School. Her future plans include doctoral studies.
