Janice Desir |
Janice grew up in a Haitian-American community
in New York. Fluent in Haitian creole and
familiar with Haitian culture and healing
traditions, she sought to deepen her understanding
of Haitian religiously grounded healing
practices, in particular maternal and early
infant health care. Having received a Masters
in Public Health at the BU School of Public
Health, Janice plans to work in the field
for a year, before going to medical school.
