Postdoctoral Fellow positions under Dr. Andrei thomas-Tikhoneko in Philadelphia (RNA Biology, Blood Cancers, Immunotherapy)

Postdoctoral Fellow positions in Philadelphia –

RNA Biology | Blood Cancers | Immunotherapy

Postdoctoral fellows with terminal degrees (PhD, MD, DVM, etc.) are sought to conduct basic/translational research aimed at elucidating the role of alternative mRNA splicing in resistance to cancer immunotherapy and in generating targetable neo-epitopes in leukemia. This project is funded by the recently awarded 5-year U01 grant from the National Cancer Institute as part of the Pediatric Immunotherapy Discovery and Development Network (PI-DDN) and Beau Biden Cancer Moonshot Initiative [https://www.cancer.gov/research/key-initiatives/moonshot-cancer-initiative/implementation/pediatric-immunotherapy-network#awarded-immunotherapy-projects]. Research will be carried out under the guidance of Dr. Andrei Thomas-Tikhonenko, Director of Experimental Pathology Branch at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn):

CHOP shares a contiguous campus with the Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine, with ample interactions with the NCI-designated Abramson Cancer Center, Institute for Immunology, and other academic entities.

Strong candidates will have hands-on experience in one of the following fields: RNA biology, cancer genetics, hematologic malignancies, immunotherapy, and bioinformatics. However, recent graduates with published record of accomplishments in related areas will be considered as well, as long as they have the thirst to prove themselves in a highly collaborative and dynamic research environment.

Interested candidates can apply by emailing cancerpathobiology@email.chop.edu or uploading their cover letters and resumes here:
