Q sense E4 Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation
A QCM-D utilizes the acoustic property of quartz to analyze molecular interactions on the material surface. Any layer of molecules forming on the surface of the quartz crystal will create subtle changes to the frequency of oscillation and its duration. Using QCM-D one can monitor polyelectrolyte multilayer build up, cell adhesion, protein adsorption, enzyme degradation and etc.
