Boston University Percussion
“Boston University Percussion” is focusing its efforts on becoming a consistent performing presence around Boston and on the BU campus. The ensemble has already become a “fan favorite” at select BU Hockey and Basketball games, where the group has performed to standing ovations and sell-out crowds in and around the Agganis Arena. Notable performances around the Boston area include events such as the New England Patriots’ private 2005 Super Bowl Ring ceremony, performing on “The Wheel of Fortune” during taping in Boston, and performing at Fenway Park before Red Sox games.
The ensemble uses marching percussion instruments (standard drumline/battery and front-ensemble instruments), and is geared towards providing a fun, high-energy, and rigorous performance experience for all members. Expect performances from the full percussion ensemble, from the drumline and front ensembles separately, and from mixed-up, smaller “break out” ensembles that will feature a wide variety of percussion theater-centric performance opportunities (think “STOMP” or “Blue Man Group”).

The ensemble is currently endorsed by Vic Firth, Zildjian, and Remo.
