To Join

This is a great opportunity for BU Bands musicians looking to stay in Boston for free over the summer and perform!

We recommend that you audition if you are interested – you can always drop the ensemble if you make it – but once auditions are over, they’re over.

To audition for Scarlet Band, you must have performed in a BU Bands ensemble (Marching Band, Pep Band, Spring Drumline, Winter Guard, Concert Band, All-Campus Orchestra, Symphonic Chorus, Big Band, or Jazz Combo) for at least one whole semester during the academic year in which you are auditioning. You must also plan on being an enrolled student at BU in the fall semester after your summer Scarlet Band experience (Scarlet Band is not open to any student leaving BU after the summer).
