What if I have never marched before?
No problem. Previous marching experience is not required. Our visual staff will whip you into shape in no time during band camp.

Other past performances have included appearances at the Macy*s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Montreal Allouettes Canadian Football League game, in the Oscar-winning Clint Eastwood film Mystic River, numerous regional parades and many regional exhibition performances. Most performances are part of larger tours that the band takes yearly, with multiple performances scheduled per tour.

After band camp and starting with the first week of classes, the Marching Terriers rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 - 9:00 PM. This rehearsal schedule lasts until the final performance of the fall semester. There are also performances most weekends during the season.
What is band camp?
Band camp is when and where we learn to work and live together to become a great band. We spend four days learning the BU way of marching, the season's music (including our pep music), theseason's drill as well as the rituals, traditions and history of the Boston University Terrier Marching Band.
What styles of music does the Marching Band perform?
The Terrier Marching Band performs a single show each year. Past shows have included jazz, classical, movie soundtracks, and current and classic rock. Go here for details on our previous shows.
