I graduated from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2012 with a PhD in Neuroscience. My bachelor degree is in medicine, earned from Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University. I am currently working with researchers both at MIT and BU to study typical and atypical language development. In particular, I have been greatly interested in the following questions:
1). What are the neural substrates (both hemodynamic and electrophysiological processes) that account for language impairment in children with autism and specific language impairment (SLI)?
2). What are the cognitive and neural mechanisms for the dynamic language learning processes in both children and adults?
3). What are the cognitive and neural predictors for successful second language learning during adulthood?
