AppLES

The Apps for Language Enhancement Study (AppLES) explores whether mobile apps for tablets can increase language in minimally verbal children and adolescents with autism. Although, there has been an explosion in the number of mobile apps developed for children, including those with autism, at present there have been no large scale studies investigating whether apps lead to significant changes in language.

Analyses on the data collected as part of this project are ongoing.

Deaf

Deaf Autism Project

The Deaf Autism Project is the world’s largest study on autism in deaf children learning sign language. We hope that the data collected during our study will lead to better treatment options for deaf children as well as a better understanding of how autism affects learning in both deaf and hearing children.

Analyses on the data collected as part of this project are ongoing.
