Welcome to the BUAS Homepage!!!
Interested in Joining BUAS?
Whether you’ve just graduated from High School, or you’re about to graduate from BU, it’s never to late to get involved with student organizations. BUAS can be a great place to meet new people, share common interests, and expand your knowledge.
We are a student-run undergraduate club for anyone who has an interest in astronomy. Whether you study physics or finance, we are open to all undergraduates in the BU community. The only prerequisite to joining us is the ability to displace yourself to the 5th floor of CAS.
We meet Wednesdays at 8:00 pm in September and 7:00 pm starting in October, typically in CAS 502. On clear nights, we often migrate from there to the roof of CAS for some night observing of both the sky and the Boston skyline. Past activities have included movie nights, telescope building, trips to Boston-area events, and overnight voyages into the country, in search of darker skies.
If you have any questions about BUAS, BU, or anything Astronomy, don’t hesitate to contact us at: buas_officers@skynet.bu.edu or just stop by a meeting!
To keep up to date on upcoming activities, you can sign up for our Mailing List.

Have a safe and fun summer everybody! Some things to remind you of:
1. The shirts have arrived. You can stop by CAS 514 and ask Laura for yours. Otherwise, they will be available for pickup in September.
2. We really need some people to help out with recruitment next year. “Splash!” is one of our big events. Expect more info soon!
3. If you have any ideas for projects/trips/astronomy-related-things to do next year, let us know!
