We meet every Sunday evening during the school year at 8:00 PM in the J.B. Coit Observatory, and during any special events (Lunar eclipse, meteor shower, etc). We'll use the telescopes (and teach you how if you're interested), do astrophotography, and whatever else people want to do. YOU DON'T HAVE TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ASTRONOMY OR TELESCOPES TO COME. If the weather is cloudy, we'll be in CAS room 502 where we can watch various Astronomical documentaries (From the Earth to the Moon, The Elegant Universe, etc) on the projection screen. For the latest on the weather and the probabiltiy of observing, call the observatory phone (617-353-2630) and press 6 for the BUAS. If you're interested in observing but the time doesn't fit your schedule, there's also a public open night open to everyone on clear Wednesday nights. If you want to observe during the summer, one of the may be willing to take you. |
