Q: Do I have to be an astrophysics major, be in an astronomy class, or know anything about astronomy to join?

No, BUAS is partially funded by your undergraduate student fee, therefore, every Boston University undergraduate student is encouraged to join. We'll teach you everything you want to learn, or just show you interesting things if you prefer.

Q: I'm not a BU undergrad, can I still join?

No. However, Boston University and many others offer open nights to the public. You're always welcome there.

Q: Do I have to go to every meeting?

Absolutely not. BUAS nights are an opportunity, not an obligation. The more you come, the more you can see, but that's entirely up to you. Come to as many or as few as you like.

Q: I really want to come to BUAS night, but the time never works. What can I do?

Please email the . Our intention is not to exclude anyone, and if you can't make it, we want to know. If there's a lot of people that can't make it, we could start doing it two nights a week. If you are the only one, one of us officers would be more than happy to set up a time that works for you and show you around. Also, don't forget about open nights offered to the community.
