The Department of Astronomy now boasts an impressive cadre of alumni. BU Astronomy Alumni now exceed 200, with over 160 of those having earned undergraduate degrees, and over 60 having received Master's and PhD degrees (see chart below). The annual graduating class continues to increase slowly, reflecting the department's overall growth. From its modest and noteworthy beginnings, the department has expanded to its present 14 full-time teaching faculty, conducting a broad and robust research program. As of 1999-2000, the BU Department of Astronomy can claim that it has the largest undergraduate astronomy program in the US, offering concentrations in Astronomy, Astronomy and Physics, and Planetary and Space Sciences.

We hope that this list will be useful for alumni as a way to keep in touch with former classmates. We have also included chronological lists of the graduate degrees awarded by the department.
