Talk begins at 3:30pm in CAS 502
Each year, more than 200 science PhDs, most recently minted, descend on Washington, DC through a variety of fellowship opportunities in science policy. After finishing my degree at Berkeley last year, I joined that group as the John Bahcall Public Policy Fellow for the American Astronomical Society. In this talk, I’ll discuss my perspectives on transitioning from science to science policy, what I do now as a policy fellow, and how you can make science advocacy a part of your career no matter where you are.
