Welcome statement from ASOR's VP for membership:
Welcome to ASOR’s membership page. Members around the world support ASOR’s mission of initiating, encouraging and supporting research into, and public understanding of, the peoples and cultures of the Near East from the earliest times, and ASOR provides a number of opportunities for members to be involved in archaeological research. Academics and students will be interested in joining ASOR in order to present at ASOR’s annual and regional meetings, participate in ASOR-affiliated field and publication projects in Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, the West Bank, Syria, Bahrain and Turkey, vote at our members’ meeting, and serve on academic committees and editorial boards. Lay people who have participated in excavations or are interested in archaeology can support ASOR through a contributing membership. Heritage members are some of the organization’s anchors who provide support for archaeological fieldwork and other ASOR projects. For more than a century, our institutional members have provided financial and leadership support for the organization, and students and faculty at member institutions enjoy a number of benefits, including discounts on annual meeting registration and eligibility for ASOR fellowships, grants and scholarships. Please contact the ASOR office at asormemb@bu.edu or 617-358-4376 for more information.
Sincerely,
Jennie R. Ebeling,
Vice President, Membership
