2009 Annual Meeting Student Scholarships

Lindstrom Foundation Student Service Scholarship

We are pleased to announce that the Lindstrom Foundation for Archaeological Research and Development will provide six Student Service Scholarships for transportation and hotel costs incurred while attending the 2009 Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA.

Eligibility: Students must be members of ASOR (by Sept. 15) and may be either undergraduates or graduate students. The Scholarships require that recipients provide up to 18 hours of service at the Annual Meeting, arranged to accommodate the sessions they would like to attend. Duties may involve assisting at the registration desk, helping Session Chairs with audio-visuals at program sessions, and aiding Program Committee members with other set-up and arrangement needs.

Applying: Interested individuals should send a curriculum vitae and a letter of interest to Kelley Bazydlo in the ASOR office that summarizes how they will benefit from attending the Meeting. A budget of projected expenses should be included. One letter of recommendation should also be forwarded to the ASOR Boston office at the address listed below. Applications will be accepted through September 15, 2009, and notification of decisions on grant awards will be made within two to four weeks. Any questions may be directed to Kelley Bazydlo at asorad@bu.edu.
