2014 Call for Papers and Program Guidelines

V. Projects on Parade Poster Session

Individuals (and co-authors) are invited to submit abstracts/poster proposals to present in the 2014 Annual Meeting’s “Projects on Parade – Poster Session.” Posters will be prominently displayed during the entire conference, a formal poster session will be scheduled (during which we ask authors to stand with their posters to answer questions and engage in discussions with interested attendees), and abstracts will be published in the Program and Abstract Book.

The poster session is an ideal opportunity for students and junior members to be involved in the Academic Program of ASOR’s Annual Meeting as well as to get the word out about your research.  Posters are an ideal format for presenting archaeological projects in general; a technical aspect of your project; a spectacular find from the field season; or complex graphic and/or quantitative data (please note that poster presentations will not be allowed to be accompanied by technical devices of any sort such as laptops, digital projectors, instrumentation devices, etc.).

Abstracts of 250 words or less should be submitted electronically using ASOR's online abstract submission system powered by Oxford Abstracts. Please be sure to select “Poster Session” as your first choice for session topic to ensure that your proposal is received and reviewed.

Deadline for submission of abstracts for posters is August 1, 2014. Please review the Rules for Participation and Abstract Submission Guidelines prior to submitting a poster abstract.

If you have questions, please contact the Chair of "Projects on Parade," Morag Kersel.
