Support our Programs

Boston University looks forward to discussing ICEAACH with alumni and friends who share the University's commitment to the continuing development of a center of excellence for the study of Asian history and culture. Some specific opportunities are outlined below. For more information contact Eugene W. Lyman, Director of CAS Development and Alumni Relations, at 617-353-5829 or by email. All of the following opportunities can be funded through outright gifts, pledges, and a variety of planned and estate gift options.

Center Endowment & Naming Opportunity Goal $5 million
Income from this gift will be used in perpetuity for a variety of purposes within the Center as determined by the donor's preferences and the Center's areas of greatest need. The donor of an endowing gift will have the opportunity to name the Center.

Library Acquisitions
Goal $2 million
ICEAACH houses a specialized East Asian archaeology library which is freely open to all interested users. Help us sustain the excellent resources that are critical to maintain the high quality of scholarly research in Asian Studies.

  • Endow an acquisitions fund bearing the name of the donor or other designated person, with a bookplate to be placed in each volume purchased with income from that fund, $50,000
  • Endow a book fund, $10,000

Endow the Directorship
Goal $2 million
Attracting and retaining a noted scholar to lead ICEAACH requires a permanent endowment for the directorship. This directorship, not limited to one academic specialty, will draw future directors from among a variety of disciplines including art history, conservation, history, religion, anthropology, and archaeology.
