South Asia Studies Initiative

The South Asia Studies Initiative advances teaching and research on South Asia at Boston University.  The Initiative brings  together faculty and students  from a wide range of disciplines who are involved  in the study of  South Asia,  encompassing Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. We strive to provide a forum for  lively intellectual exchange and mutual support among the many scholars throughout Boston University who are engaged in the study of this important region of the world.  Our plans include the creation of a South Asia Studies minor at Boston University.
