André de Quadros is a scholar of Asian choral music, particularly in syncretic and hybrid musical forms. He has edited several works of Indian and Indonesian choral music in the series “Music of Asia and the Pacific” published by Earthsongs in Oregon. As a performer, he has given several first performances of works of Indian and Indonesian composers. His edited anthology of Southeast Asian music is due to be released soon by Carus in Germany.
