Assistant Professor of British History
Arianne Chernock specializes
in modern Britain and Europe. Her work focuses on 18th- and 19th-century
cultural, political, imperial, and gender history, and specifically,
the contributions and legacies of the Enlightenment. She is currently
preparing her manuscript, "Champions of the Fair Sex: Men and the
Creation of Modern British Feminism," for publication. Her next
project will consider the place of the British Enlightenment in India.
