Associate Professor of Asian and Chinese Art
Qianshen Bai's specialization is in the history
of Chinese calligraphy, painting and seal carving, and he practices
Chinese calligraphy and seal carving himself. He helped develop
the Master's Program in Asian Art at Boston University. Professor
Bai's most recent publication is Fu Shan's World: The Transformation
of Chinese Calligraphy in the Seventeenth Century (2003). He is
currently working on a monograph on the 19th-century chinese artist
Wu Dacheng.
