The Division of the Social Sciences at the College of General Studies is offering a course on the Modernization of China in Shanghai this summer from June 22 to August 18, 2013. It is expected that our students will find this attractive, as it will give them an opportunity to study in China and receive credit for the required course they take as sophomores on the same subject here at CGS. Many, it is hoped, will also dovetail this study with an introductory course in Chinese. We are also opening this course up to other students both at Boston University and elsewhere. We would appreciate any publication you could give on this offering.
The eight-credit program includes 2 courses:
- Modernization and Revolution in China*
- Intro Chinese Language**
*Fulfills World History Requirement
**No prior Chinese language skills are necessary
