Rachel Dacus Hill completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri – Columbia, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Violin Performance and a Music Entrepreneurship certificate. During her time there, she held positions with Columbia Civic Orchestra and the Missouri Chamber Music Festival that were pivotal in realizing her passion for arts administration. Wanting to expand her knowledge of the field beyond the Midwest, she moved to Boston in Fall 2016 to pursue a Master in Arts Administration at Boston University which she earned in May 2018.

Rachel served as a graduate assistant for program director Lanfranco Aceti, a development intern at the Handel and Haydn Society, and a collegiate ambassador at the Boston Symphony Orchestra. This summer, she will be in Lenox, MA working for Boston University Tanglewood Institute as publications coordinator.

The Arts Administration program has allowed me to form connections with not only my classmates but alumni and other working professionals in the field. I am constantly challenged to think outside of the box and continue to find ways to become a better arts administrator, arts advocate, and patron of the arts.
