Songdi Wei (’17)

Songdi Wei is a first-year graduate student in the Arts Administration Program at Boston University. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, with a major in Visual Communication Design oriented towards exhibition design direction. During her undergraduate study, she did research on art museum exhibitions and became interested in realizing the deeper art world. She was an intern at Tianjin TEDA Contemporary Art Museum. She also joined the students’ curatorial team at Beijing Today Art Museum, organizing the Annual Nomination Exhibition for Students of Contemporary Art Academies.

Through her study at BU, she is taking a variety of courses that help her get in touch with the art world comprehensively and understand the important role of the arts manager in terms of the connection between the artist and audience. In her free time, she likes to draw illustrations and make handworks, which is an efficient way to keep creative and flexible.
