Internships being offered in Fall 2018:
Artistic Internship– works closely with the Artistic staff providing and producing administrative support for all Artistic and Development programming. Artistic Interns help with research; data entry; assisting in the execution of internal readings; and lend support to our Mainstage Productions. It is an opportunity to learn about how a non-profit theater both produces and develops new work. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.
Development Internship– works closely with the Individual Giving and Special Events staff on a variety of projects that support MCC Theater’s fundraising efforts. Intern will assist with: database management; correspondence; planning and executing donor cultivation and funding events; research; planning and tasks associated with annual gala fundraiser, Miscast; and maintenance of organizational systems.
Education & Outreach Internship– assist the Education Team in coordinating various MCC arts in education programs, including the MCC Theater Youth Company. Interns spend time in the office performing various administrative tasks, in the classroom as an assistant, and in production for our final Youth Company performances. Experience working with teenagers or arts education is a plus. Education internships last the full academic year, so Education interns are only selected for the Fall and Summer.
Institutional Giving Internship– works closely with the Manager of Institutional Giving on research and writing related to fundraising from foundation, corporate, and government agencies. Intern will assist with: researching prospective funding opportunities; drafting proposals and letters of inquiry; collecting and organizing information for reporting purposes. Must have strong writing skills and an ability to implement feedback on written work.
Marketing Internship– assists the Director of Marketing and Marketing Associate in various office duties such as managing audience communications/mailings, conducting research, facilitating audience surveys, maintaining department archives and databases, planning and implementing viral and grassroots marketing efforts. Excel and Social Media experience a must. Photoshop, Dreamweaver a plus.
