Volunteers are needed for the Boston premier of Arvo Pärt’s Adam’s Lament, framed by J.S. Bach’s Lutheran Mass in A Major and the motet “Komm, Jesu, komm.” Adam’s Lament—stunningly beautiful music for chorus and string orchestra composed in 2009—chronicles Adam’s banishment from paradise with drama and mystical delicacy. “Komm, Jesu, komm,” the most personal of Bach’s motets, finds its virtuosity in yearning, and the ethereal A Major Lutheran Mass shines with elegance.
Different volunteer jobs include ushering, selling merchandise, assisting with the pre-concert lecture, assisting at will call and with subscription sales, and other various odd jobs that may come up before the concert begins. This is an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in learning about back-of-house management.
In return for volunteering your time, you will receive a complimentary ticket, and are invited to attend our post-concert reception which will include free food and drinks. If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions, please contact Bridget Dennis, Operations Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org.
