While talk of boycott and protest has simmered, several high profile players have retired sooner than expected or in their prime (Rob Gronkowski, Andrew Luck, Vontae Davis). Players are sharing more of the painkiller culture and shame that accompanies being an injured NFL star. Is Gen Z, a generation raised knowing the risks of playing football, still playing?
