The meeting will review important program information and will be an opportunity for you to ask questions of program alumni, the academic director in Madrid, and myself. If you are unable to participate, you do NOT need to contact our office to let us know. Please note though that if you cannot attend, it is especially essential for you to read through all pre-departure information. Keep in mind that the first few days of the program in Madrid will also be designated to a thorough, mandatory on-site orientation for all program participants.
Please also note that the pre-departure meeting is intended for participants of the program only. Due to FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act), parents/guardians are not permitted to attend this session. We do, however, encourage you to share relevant information about the program with your parents, as we understand that they may be curious about what to expect with your experience abroad. Before the start of the program, we will also provide students with a Parent Letter which you can forward along to them for their reference.
