Democracy dies behind closed doors. In its fight to keep government records open, the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press launched iFOIA.org in the fall as a free project management system for federal, state and local freedom of information requests. Reporters can use public records requests to get a variety of government documents, including budgets, emails and contracts.
