This symposium will present scholarly papers on American visual culture by distinguished former students of Dr. Patricia Hills, Professor of American Art at Boston University for over thirty-five years. It will provide a snapshot of the impact that Boston University's Department of History of Art & Architecture has had upon American art historical scholarship while simultaneously limning the future of the field.
