The Art of Poetry videos are based on the spirit of The Favorite Poem Project.
The Art of Poetry Video Repository is a portal to the video mini-lecturesand discussions from The Art of Poetry, Robert Pinsky’s edX/Boston University MOOC (Massive Open Online Course).
The lecture segments, usually five minutes in length or less, are on such topics as Music and Poetry; Teasing, Flirting, and Courting; Kidding and Tribute; and Difficulty and Pleasure.
The discussion segments, also quite brief, take up those topics and others, with Robert Pinsky moderating and commenting. The people participating in the discussions include non-students (for instance, a landscaper, an engineer) as well as students in high school, college, and graduate school.
The videos are meant to address the needs and interests of teachers, students, and anyone interested in the art of poetry.
