  1. The timing of the launch of this Center is wonderful and the support is gratifying. The arc bent by Eli Wiesel and Martin Luther King and now by Ibram Kendi can be bent even more by all of us continuing to support the Center.

  2. Having helped, housed, lived with, and loved people of color from childhood up to the moment at the age of 85 it is important for me to say that it is imperative we do what’s
necessary to curb discrimination AND reverse discrimination.

We can’t control it since we have no way to know what is actually going on in the heart and mind of another but we can curb it.

In addition, it is incumbent upon all of us to respect that it is not the color of ones complexion that matters but the complexion of ones character that matters

  3. Is Boston University also planning on creating an Anti Ageism Research Center? I think, and many will agree with me, that it is a very widespread concern at this institution and throughout the country.

One only needs to listen to the concerns of staff and faculty members to realize that older employees experience massive discrimination. From quality of research and teaching facilities, poorly functioning elevators, steep stairways, as well as the threat of COVID-19.

I presume the cause is not as “hot” as Dr. Kendi’s research and will not generate much attention from BU administrators (read money from rich, woke donors), but be aware there are many senior citizens on campus whose voices are not heard.

  4. $10 million is nice, however ,he is worth in the billions. This is really nothing for him. Probably a tax write off
$100 million would be much better and more impressive
