  1. I’m so proud of her. I think everyone will be able to understand me. I wish you all to have the same feelings. My best wishes to this Magazine.

    Farid Gasimov (Firangiz’s Father)

  2. Great insight of our cultural heritage and educational tool. I am being originally from Azerbaijan now living for almost two decades in Maine, asked similar questions all the time. I am proud of Firangiz and wish her all the best in her endeavors. We, the Azerbaijani-American Diaspora will be very delighted to help out in this project. Sincerely, Tarlan

  3. This is estimable.

However, Firangiz Gasimova’s statement, “[i]f a person is Catholic, no one has this preconceived notion of what they’re allowed to do and what they’re not,” is, I regret, wishful thinking. Stereotypes abound about Roman Catholics in American society — as they do about so many groups of people.

There is much more work to be done — and it seems that Firangiz Gasimova is off to a great start.

Here is wishing her Luck from a proud alum.
