  1. I started at University Hospital as an RN and now have worked here 34 yrs. When the ENC closes where will all the historical memorabilia go? There is so much displayed on the second floor that could be displayed in the new areas. The Shapiro Lobby has very little on display. I would help collect things on the closing day like Dr Jackson did. It’s important to know our story, our medical and nursing heritage.

  2. Are these items available for viewing to the public or nurses who worked @ BCH?? I would LOVE to see this collection having worked @ BCH for many years….

  3. i have been at bmc/ bch since i started nursing school in 1971. i too treasure all that was bch.i know that when bch merged dr hirsch was given a lot of memorabilia that my alumni had.i wish we could see all those things and remember the good old days.

    1. I have such fond memories. BCH helped make me a better person and a better nurse and nurse practitioner. Loved the place and the people. Spent the Blizzard of 78 there.

  4. I trained at BCH School of Nursing beginning in 1971 and being part of the “City” family has been the greatest privilege of my life. The love and skilled, professional career given to BCH patients goes above and beyond any other healing elements on earth. My heart ached when we ” merged ” some 20 odd years ago…I still practice nursing here, now, at BMC. So grateful for my BOSTON CITY memories. Would love to see the collection.
