    Rich Barlow is a senior writer at BU Today and Bostonia magazine. Perhaps the only native of Trenton, N.J., who will volunteer his birthplace without police interrogation, he graduated from Dartmouth College, spent 20 years as a small-town newspaper reporter, and is a former Boston Globe religion columnist, book reviewer, and occasional op-ed contributor.     Alan Wong oversees a team of video producers who create video content for BU's online editorial publications and social media channels. He has produced more than 300 videos for Boston University, shuffling through a number of countries in the process: Australia, Argentina, Peru, Ireland, China, and Cambodia. He has also bored audiences in Atlanta and Boston giving talks on video for higher ed. Profile

  1. Sounds like an awesome, class. Love to see that BU continues to attract a diverse and talented group of students… Hope you all learn a ton and have fun along the way which is how I recall my time at BU.

  2. Great class! But not a single artist in the group chosen here? Your College of Fine Arts is conservatory level — I wish you had chosen just one student from the freshman class who is there for art, theatre, opera, music, visual art, etc.

    1. We pulled students who were willing to be interviewed during their down time at orientation, so it was completely random. However there are plenty of kids who are interested in music, film, and art. Try refreshing the page to see new faces, there are actually 37 edited videos and the page displays 20 videos randomly each time.
