  1. So BU students were the victims of crimes committed by residents of Brookline? Kinda makes me wonder why Brookline cops have declared war on the students…seems the hoodlums are already right under their noses.

  2. Well, I actaully threw one of the guys out of the building because he started harassing one of my friends earlier after she had signed him in. The girl I know got her sign in privileges taken away. However, I think that the consequences will be worse for the other two students who signed the guys in because they just signed them in and let him roam free through Claflin.

  3. If somebody broke the window of a house to allow a thief in a house they would be an accessory to burglary. I think these kids need a reprimand from BU and from the Police. They endangered their community and that is just as serious as the actions of the young men arrested.

  4. i dont understand how one can sign in two people that they dont know. its not only their security that is at stake here. obviously this time everybody got lucky but people are whining about why they are not being treated like adults. This is exactly why! Im sorry for those girls who had to find this the hard way but still I do not think they are entirely innocent in this matter.

  5. unfortunately i heard that the girls who had signed them in weren’t quite sober. As for their stupid actions of trusting someone that they do not know when their judgment is impaired, there should be and probably will be major consequences.

  6. Other universities have no sign in policies, or very loose sign in policies compared to BU. Residents should take the initiative to protect themselves by locking their doors. People have the right to be safe, however, upon moving out of college it is unlikely that most students will have a security guard at the entrance to their home wherever it may be.
