There are 2 comments on A Day at the Beach

  1. What about Nantasket beach, on the south shore? From South Station, take the Greenbush line…or during the week a boat from Long Wharf, which a shuttle bus to the beach always meets. It’s white sand and very beautiful, rarely crowded. World’s End, also Trustees of Reservations, is right there too.

  2. “….and its close proximity to the airport means there’s always noise from incoming jets. The sand is often littered with garbage, and a peculiar odor occasionally wafts in with the tide.”

When were these observations made? They are extremely inaccurate. Litter seems to be controlled as best as one can expect at a public beach. I spend a lot of time reading and relaxing at Revere Beach, and rarely notice outstanding air traffic noise or pollution. It sounds more like a description of Constitution Beach which is closer to the flight path and sometimes less maintained.
