Lisa de Saxe Zerden received her M.S.W. from the UCLA School of Public Affairs. In 2009 Dr. Zerden graduated with a Ph.D. from the Interdisciplinary Social Work and Sociology program at Boston University. Her research interests include HIV/AIDS risk-related behaviors, substance abuse, and cross-cultural prevention efforts and evidence-based practice. Currently, Dr. Zerden is a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Social Work where she collaborates with CARS on research endeavors, publications and national regional and local presentations. Dr. Zerden teaches policy, research methods and human behavior and the social environment courses and is a Board Member of the North Carolina Harm Reduction Coalition.
