R. Mitchell Thomas, M.S.W.

Project Coordinator

Mr. Thomas recently earned his MSW in Macro Practice and a certificate in Human Services Management from the Boston University School of Social Work, and is currently pursuing an MPH in Health Policy and Management with a concentration in Finance from the Boston University School of Public Health. He graduated with a B.S. in Human Development from the University of California, Davis with a concentration in Adolescent Development, and worked with homeless youth at a drop-in center and emergency shelter in Seattle before moving to Boston. His research interests include program evaluation, substance abuse treatment and recovery programs, and performance management and quality improvement. Mr. Thomas has interned with Boston Public Health Commission, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and will be interning with the Healthcare Access Bureau of the Massachusetts Division of Insurance in the fall. In his free time he volunteers with the AHOPE Needle Exchange doing quality improvement work around data collection and reporting.
