Print run of 1500. Approximately 700 subscribers. Beginning August 2002, Arion will begin reserving space for advertisments on our website. Space is extremely limited; advertisers are encouraged to place orders in a timely fashion. Our website generates 5000+ unique visitors per month (for January ’02, the number was 5,972); over 60% of website visitors are .edu professors and scholarly professionals. Arion maintains an email database of individuals interested in humanities and the Classics. Arion is distributed to dozens of bookstores and libraries across the United States and around the world.

Phoenix Award

Editor in chief Herbert Golder was awarded the 1992 Council of Editors of Learned Journals Phoenix Award for Significant Editorial Achievement for revitalizing Arion.

APA Outreach

In 2004, the American Philological Association awarded Arion and Dr. Golder its inaugural Outreach Award for bringing classics to readers outside the academy.
