In 1976, the Mystery Writers of America, a professional organization of mystery writers in all media, placed its library on deposit with Boston University. As many of the members of MWA are represented by their papers in the Contemporary Archives of the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center, the disposition of the organization library to Boston University was a particularly felicitous choice. Included are books by many members of the organization, as well as review copies and page and galley proofs of contemporary mystery and detective novels.
